About DC HOCKEY
My name is Daniel Černý, and hockey has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first stepped on the ice at the age of four and came up through the Czech youth hockey system. In the 2017/2018 season, I played in the European University Hockey League (EUHL).
By the age of eighteen, I already knew that passing my experience on to others meant more to me than my own playing career, so I fully committed to coaching. I hold a B coaching licence, the second highest in the Czech Republic, and my next goal is the A licence.
I have been coaching for 12 years, and for the last four years I have been the head coach at HC Slavoj Velké Popovice. Alongside my team work, I focus on individual player development and run private training sessions, including for recreational players who want to improve and enjoy the game to the fullest. Whether you're ten or forty, I'd be glad to help you take the next step.

My goal is to take first class care of my players abroad who I have helped to make their dreams come true.
We follow a set system with the players on the ice, with an emphasis on quality skating skills. It's all about the details.
When working for teams, I use my knowledge of the teams and select players that fit their team and system of play.
